printSMART comes to the library

Happy Sustainability Day!

On Monday, in partnership with the university’s Office of Sustainability, we launched our printSMART campaign to encourage students (and perhaps by extension ourselves) to consider when, what, and how they print. Included in the campaign is an infographic designed by a member of the Sustainability Office to highlight the amount of paper used on Learning Commons printers in the last year. Jaw-dropping, at least to me!

It is hard to imagine a stack of paper 3 times the height of the Arts Tower!

The campaign will run from October 20 to November 10. As part of the campaign, the printing section of the How Do I… pages was significantly revised. Check it out at libguides.usask.ca/howdoi/print

The campaign could not have been pulled off without the commitment, enthusiasm, energy, and great ideas of the printSMART working group — Lexi, Eva, Justina, Adele, and Shannon. What a great team!
