Huge congratulations to Laura from the Murray Interlibrary Loans unit and her new husband Dwayne, who were married this weekend!

To celebrate Laura’s special day, her coworkers at the Murray Library threw her a surprise bridal shower. It was difficult to plan a social committee event without the help of our social committee leader, but somehow, we managed to pull it off! Laura was completely surprised. We had punch, cake and chips, and we played bridal shower games. “Married or Not Married Celebrities” created lots of controversy, and much furious googling was involved. Apparently Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are actually married, so keep that piece of trivia in your back pocket for future reference.

It ended up being quite the party-filled week, with this party, the retirement party for Micheal and Donna, and the staff holiday party. But we didn’t mind an extra excuse to eat cake. 😉
