New hands-on workshops are now available from the media professionals in Media Production for Studio A, home to the UCreate Studio and the Lightboard Studio.

These DIY Recording Studios are managed by Media Production and available, free of charge, to Faculty and Staff looking for a professional setting to record high quality media for teaching and learning, research, and more!

Studio A AR Info

Designing small Augmented Reality (AR) information markers that “stick” in a specific space. We designed an info AR for Studio A that sticks to a horizontal plane and I made another one for my office door that sticks to a vertical plane.

Connect with meda_production@usask.ca to discuss how we can support designing this type of media with you.

Lightboard Luminance Keying!

Taking the Lightboard Studio to the next level! We’ve been doing some experimenting in the lightboard studio and adding slides and animations into the recordings using a luminance key.

This means an instructor can annotate, label, or otherwise draw on top of images and animations that appear on the lightboard surface.

Contact media_production@usask.ca to learn more or to book some time to play with this technique in studio free of charge.
