Assignment Details: Summer 2018

MUS 111 Assignment Details

30% of your overall mark in Music 111 will be derived from assignments.

How it works:

For Summer 2018, all students will be required to blog for their assignment grade. Blogs will be set up for all registered students by ICT, and instructions will be provided for how to access, set-up, and post to blogs, as well as how to submit blog URLs on Blackboard for syndication and grading.

The first task for all students will be to submit your URL via Blackboard for syndication. This allows us to subscribe to your blog on our WordPress page, and means your fellow students will be able to read and respond to your posts. This is a requirement of the summer course.

There are two assignment deadlines, explained in your syllabus. Each blog post is worth 10%, and you are required to post three times. You must complete two posts for the first deadline, then submit your URL again in Blackboard prior to the deadline for grading. For the second deadline, you must complete one more post and again submit your URL for grading prior to the deadline. Failure to submit the URL each time for grading will result in a grade of 0 on that assignment.

Late assignments will be docked 5% per day late.

Detailed information on how to set up and post to your blog, as well as information on what is expected in each blog and how you will be graded, can be found on the Blogging page.

Questions for blogging can be found in the online Learning Material for each module.

Note: concert reviews and album reviews have now been rolled into the blogging assignment for the summer session. If you were hoping to see live music and write about it, you still can!
