Over the past few weeks there have been reports of “Hit & Runs” in parking lots across campus. We understand it is icy and crowded in the parking lots but it is very important to identify yourself if you have accidentally hit a vehicle!

“Why is it important that I contact Campus Safety if I hit another vehicle?”
A Hit & Run is also known as, Leaving the Scene of an Accident which is a Criminal Code Offence: Meaning if you leave after hitting another vehicle without reporting it to Campus Safety or the Registered Owner of the Vehicle that you have hit, you may be charged under Section Number 252(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. So please take to time to Call Campus Safety @ 966-5555 to report the Accident as soon as possible. It is a lot better paying for the damages now than ending up with a Criminal Record later!
