Windchill Warning for February 8-11th

A windchill warning is in effect in Saskatchewan North Battleford through Saskatoon across to Carrot River and Hudson Bay – and everything south from there….

Although an Alberta clipper is still moving through Southern Saskatchewan the winter storm watch has been downgraded to a windchill warning – only a small amount of snow is expected with this disturbance and the winds are forecast to be a little weaker then previously forecast.
Caution is advised but the chance of widespread and prolonged reduced visibilities in blowing snow is less likely. this is still a fairly intense system and significant drifting snow will occur. Visibility may be below 1 kilometre in snow or blowing snow for brief periods in areas of stronger wind gusts or when combined with falling snow.
