Saskatoon Police are advising parents and students to keep safety in mind when walking to and from school following two incidents this month.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. on January 5, 2010, a 15 year old girl was walking to school along a gravel path, parallel to Attridge Drive, when a male approached and attempted to engage her in conversation. The male then touched the female inappropriately and fled the scene.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. on January 11, 2010 a 12 year old girl was walking home through Woodlawn Cemetery when a male approached, touched her inappropriately, and fled the scene.
Neither girl was physically injured in the incidents and investigators do not know if the two are connected, however the descriptions have similarities. In both incidents the male is described as Caucasian, approx. 5’9” and 190 lbs, approximately 30 years of age, and wearing grey sweatpants.
Students are reminded to walk in pairs if possible, stay in well lit – populated areas, be aware of their surroundings and any suspicious activity, and notify a parent or teacher of suspicious behaviour.
