The Hindu Kush Himalaya, often called the “Third Pole”, is warming at nearly twice the global average. Across the region, we see the visible impacts of this change: glaciers and snow are melting rapidly, permafrost is thawing, and rainfall patterns are shifting. This warming climate has triggered more frequent and intense hydro-climatic hazards.
