“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” – Carl Jung
Human beings are perplexing creatures. They evidence intense love, passion, and generosity. They also frequently disappoint, stumbling into hate, apathy, and greed. In their glorious complexity, they cannot be adequately grasped through a single lens. Yet, this does not render them unknowable. By piecing together bits of knowledge, we glimpse the outlines of a beautiful, yet troubled, species – one that yearns to better understand itself and its place in the cosmos.
Through this webpage, I invite you to peek inside my psychology classrooms and experience the study of human thought, feeling, and behaviour on the Canadian prairies. In doing so, I hope you will come to better appreciate the trials and triumphs of our species as we traverse health and illness, development and decline, connection and division.
This virtual space is also intended to create a bridge between the Department of Psychology and Health Studies and the wider community. It invites those beyond the USask campus to share in our learning and helps to connect students with relevant community organizations, educational offerings, volunteer placements, and paid employment opportunities across the province. Subscribe to updates to be informed of local psychology happenings and keep abreast of exciting opportunities.
Thanks for taking part in this adventure!
