Where are they now?
The ETAD master’s degree has been a great career springboard. Our alumni have gone on to work on many interesting projects. Some have remained teachers in the K-12 system, entered higher education, become instructional designers, and started doctorates.
JR Dingwall
JR enrolled in the ETAD program early in his education career. After completing a B.Ed, industrial arts, he began his career as many young graduates do, as a substitute teacher and eventually obtaining full time contracts. Through his time in public schools, he regularly found himself in the position of learning technologies consultant for both students and colleagues. This led him to pursue a graduate degree (M.Ed) in Educational Technology and Design.

Julie Maier
Julie made her way to the Educational Technology & Design (ETAD) program while working as a math/science teacher in an Adult Basic Education program in rural Saskatchewan, and her years in the classroom helped to shape many of her educational philosophies and values. After a year at part-time, she switched to full-time graduate studies, allowing her to pursue a Graduate Teaching Fellowship position as well as additional scholarship opportunities within the ETAD program.
