Hi, I’m Z (Zee, or Zee-ah). I am in my third year of Arts & Science, and my second year of English studies. During my time at the University of Saskatchewan I have made extensive use of Archive.org, which made me interested in internet archiving and free access to reliable academic sources. I was interested in taking this class despite my own lack of background in computing, because I feel strongly about the need for universal access to information, particularly when it comes to history, and hope to learn as much as possible about these websites that I’ve come to rely on.

Thanks for this post Z. I agree the Internet Archive and other similar projects like Project Guttenburg or all the free audiobooks of out-of-copyright material is one of my favourite parts of the Internet.
