Hi, I’m Sam – an experienced educator and instructional designer with a passion for helping adult learners reach their full potential. I specialize in teaching Biology at the high school level, with a focus on creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments. I’ve spent over 15 years designing curriculum and training programs that break down complex topics into accessible, meaningful learning experiences. Whether I’m integrating AI into research lessons, using TV shows to explore scientific concepts, or developing writing prompts that spark self-expression, my goal is always to empower learners with the tools and confidence they need to succeed.
My work is grounded in educational research and real-world application. I am studying for my Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Design, which has deepened my understanding of learning theory, digital pedagogy, and instructional strategy—particularly in online and blended environments. I’m especially interested in how teaching presence evolves in virtual spaces, and I love helping others navigate this shift with clarity and creativity. As someone who discovered my Innu heritage later in life, I bring a deep respect for diverse perspectives and cultural stories into everything I do. Outside of education, I’m a lifelong soccer player and coach, a fan of fantasy novels, and someone who believes learning should always be connected to life.
