Standards:
- Course offers access to a variety of engaging resources that facilitate communication and collaboration, deliver content, and support learning and engagement.
- Course provides activities for learners to develop higher-order thinking and problem-solving skills, such as critical reflection and analysis.
- Course provides activities that emulate real world applications of the discipline, such as experiential learning, case studies, and problem-based activities.
- A variety of different learners and experiences are reflected in media choices. Course provides opportunities for incorporating diverse voices, and/or decentring Western-European worldviews.
- Where available, Open Educational Resources, free, or low-cost materials are used.
- Multimedia (images, audio, video, animations) enhance the learning experience and serve a clear educational purpose.
- Course materials and resources include copyright and licensing status, clearly stating permission to share where applicable.
- Learning materials are offered in multiple formats (e.g.: text, visuals, video, audio, interactive simulations, etc.).
- There is thoughtful consideration for selecting learning materials and activities that are culturally relevant and inclusive.
- Course resources reflect the latest developments in the field (majority of resources have been published within the last 5-10 years).
