The Department of Campus Safety is investigating a Break, Enter and Theft over $5000.00 which was perpetrated at the Department of Media and Technology sometime between 24 December and 29 December 2006.

Sometime between 24 December and 29 December 2006, unknown persons gained access to Department of Media and Technology offices located in the Education Building and removed a number of pieces of video and electronic equipment stored within to a van parked in an associated, enclosed loading dock area. Upon completing the removal process, the persons departed the building in the van, which they subsequently abandoned in a remote area of campus.
While the unknown persons left behind the majority of the video and electronic equipment when they abandoned the van, they did manage to effect their escape with approximately $16,000.00 worth of it in their possession. To date, the location of that equipment and the identities of the persons have not been determined.
