Department of Campus Safety records indicate that since 11 January 2007, S/Csts have been called to investigate 17 motor vehicle accidents on campus, the majority precipitated by a combination of adverse road conditions and motorists’ failure to adjust to them. In an effort to reduce this high incidence, the Department of Campus Safety encourages all motorists on campus to reduce their vehicle speed, maintain a safe stopping distance and above all else, exercise caution while negotiating the roadways at this time of year.
