Our January Campus Club Week has grown to be quite the event. Spanning 9 days, Campus Club Week includes two conferences and a number of independently presented sessions. After surveys, a good number of chats, and our experiences working with, and being in, campus groups, we have crafted this week to meet the needs of our student leaders. With 12 work-related sessions and three networking opportunities, Campus Club Week has something for everyone. Prizes will be available for groups and leaders that participate in Campus Club Week, so be sure to come to as many sessions as you can and bring as many people from your club to increase your chances of winning.
January 17/18: Global Connections Leadership Gathering
The third annual Global Connections Student Leadership Gathering brings together student leaders from across the University of Saskatchewan for a weekend of leadership development, cultural awareness and collaboration on the USask campus situated on Treaty 6 Territory and Homeland of the Metis. Students who attend this event will:
• Gain confidence in their roles as student leaders
• Develop intercultural competency skills
• Gain a deeper understanding of their impact as local and global citizens
• Make lasting connections with other student leaders

Succession Planning

We all have to pass the torch eventually, so do your incoming executive a favour and hand it over gently, instead of throwing it at them. We’ll talk about succession documents, what they are, how to make them, and how to use them.

The USSU gives out a bunch of grants to campus groups! Learn what you need to apply for sponsorship and how to go through the process smoothly.
January 25th: Campus Groups Conference
Our first conference dedicated to facilitating student leadership! This is a great opportunity if you’re wanting to continue with student leadership, or want to give your group’s executive the tools they need to succeed before you leave. We will enjoy a full day of valuable presentations, meaningful discussions, prizes for you and your group and, of course, food!
