Join us for the USSU AGM and vote on important Bylaw changes that direct the union, AND be entered to win 1 of 10 $50 gift cards from SKIP!The AGM will be held Thursday, November 25, 2021, at 6 pm on ZOOM.

All undergraduate students are eligible to propose amendments to the USSU Bylaw. The USSU consults with the USSU lawyer to ensure that the proposed amendments are legal, and adhere to the spirit and intent of the Bylaw.

Studentpreneur is a platform for students to take an idea and make it a reality. We are creating a space for students to get the opportunities to build, grow and share their ideas. This initiative will encourage students to identify their careers and prepare them for a career they define for themselves, and these learning opportunities will help students to develop the needed skills.

Throughout this learning and experimental journey, students will be guided through a series of workshops led by experts, and student market space to promote themselves and their brands, a ‘pitch night’ to present their ideas to get financial support to make their idea a reality. Please take our survey and let us know what areas interest you most.

The USSU Teaching Excellence Awards recognizes Professors and Teaching Assistants who demonstrate teaching excellence at the University of Saskatchewan. An excellent teacher gives us access to knowledge and gives us the tools to turn that knowledge into wisdom. Students evaluate teachers and their environment in a number of ways; three important areas include enthusiasm, organization, and fairness of evaluation.

Do you have a Professor or Teaching Assistant that inspires you? Is your instructor passionate about teaching? Do they go that extra mile to ensure you succeed?

Nominate them for a Teaching Excellence Award!

Nominations are open from October 25 to November 5.

Join us to learn about various academic resources on campus and how you can protect yourself from academic misconduct and enhance your academic life on campus. There will be academic advice from the Director of teaching and learning and Academic dean’s from various colleges.

The graduate opportunities workshop is a collaborative event of USSU and GSA that aims to help undergraduate students navigate the steps to graduate school, inform them of various graduate opportunities and help them through the process of finding a graduate position and entering the research world.

There will be a presentation (overview) of graduate opportunities at USask, and how to find them, access them, land them, and write up an application. The event will have graduate students from various colleges provide peer-to-peer mentorship for students wanting to pursue graduate studies.
