The USSU is hiring coordinators for the Food, Help, and Pride Centres, as well as Safewalk & Student Crew. If you think you would be interested in becoming a USSU Centre Coordinator, the USSU is holding information sessions regarding the open positions. The Sustainability Fund is dedicated to helping students achieve their sustainable initiatives. This year, the USSU Sustainability Committee will have $10,000 in dedicated funding to help students achieve their sustainable initiatives.  The fund comprises of $2,500 from the USSU, $2,500 from the Office of Sustainability and $5,000 from the President’s Office. The Committee is looking forward to working with students and their sustainability initiatives!

The USSU is looking for a current undergraduate student to join our team as a Services Assistant to provide support to students and the U of S community at the USSU on the main floor of the Place Riel Student Centre.

This position is a part-time, one-year term position (with the possibility to reapply for a second term) and working 20 hours per week. Visit ussu.ca/employment for details.

Winter Term U-Pass can be loaded. Winter Term U-Pass allows you to access Saskatoon Transit from January 1 to April 30.

You will be required to activate your U-Pass each term.

December 12, 2022

Opt-Out applications may be submitted online to the USSU. Applications will not be processed until January 3rd.

December 31, 2022

Fall Term U-Pass is deactivated at the end of the day. Winter Term U-Pass will be required starting January 1.

January 1, 2023

Winter Term U-Pass is active. You will be able to activate your U-Pass on your phone after the start of the term (after 12:00am on January 1st).

January 17, 2023

Last day to apply for Winter Term Opt-Outs. Completed online applications are due no later than 4:30pm.

April 30, 2023

Winter Term U-Pass is deactivated at the end of the day. Spring Term U-Pass will be required on May 1.

Join us for the USSU AGM and vote on important Bylaw changes that direct the union. The Annual General Meeting will be held Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 6 pm in ARTS 146. Pizza and refreshments will be served.

All undergraduate students are eligible to propose amendments to the USSU Bylaw. The USSU consults with the USSU lawyer to ensure that the proposed amendments are legal, and adhere to the spirit and intent of the Bylaw.

The AGM will be held Thursday, November 24, 2022, at 6 pm in ARTS 146. All amendments will be voted on by USSU members.

Trick or Eat is an annual event hosted by the USSU Food Centre to collect food and monetary donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank. Participants will meet in Place Riel on October 31st at 5:30 pm to check in and will canvas for donations from 6:00 pm-8:30 pm. As a thank you for volunteering, there will be an afterparty until 10:00 pm with snacks, games, prizes for the best costume, and awarding the Candy Cup to the team who collects the most donations! The Candy Cup is a giant candy-filled trophy that the winners get their team name engraved on!
