U-Pass is the USSU undergraduate transit pass, which offers students huge savings on transportation. The U-Pass is mandatory for full and part-time undergraduate students at the U of S. Summer term U-Pass can be loaded on your phone but can’t be activated until July 1st. Summer term U-Pass allows you to access Saskatoon Transit from July 1st to August 31st.

Opt-out applications may be submitted online for eligible students enrolled in Summer Term. You will be required to submit a U-Pass opt-out application each term.
June 30, 2026
Spring Term U-Pass is deactivated at the end of the day. Summer Term U-Pass will be required effective July 1.
July 1, 2026
Summer Term U-Pass is active. You can activate your U-Pass on your phone after the start of the term (12:00 am on July 1st for the Summer Term).
July 8, 2026
Last day to apply for Summer Term opt-outs for students enrolled in Q3-only (July only) or Q3&Q4 (July & August) classes. Completed online applications are due by 4:30 pm.
July 28, 2026

August 31, 2026
Summer Term U-Pass is deactivated at the end of the day. Fall Term U-Pass will be required effective September 1.
