Did you know…There are LMS working groups within your college?
Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation Working Groups are now active within colleges and designed to better support your transition to the Canvas LMS. Instructional Designers from the Distance Education Unit (DEU), Educational Development Specialists from GMCTL and Training Staff from ICT have joined academic college leads on these working groups to help support the diverse needs within your college.
The purpose of the LMS implementation working groups within each college are to ensure successful implementation of the new LMS through frequent, two-way communication of information and feedback between colleges and the LMS central implementation support team and within the colleges themselves.
Contact your college working group’s academic leader for information.

Canvas Course Development Template
Wondering how to move your face to face class into Canvas quickly and efficiently? The Distance Educational Unit at the University of Saskatchewan, in collaboration with GMCTL and ICT, have developed a new Canvas Template that should help to guide your asynchronous course development process. With just-in-time instructions and built-in module structure this template and be a great starting point for those who are new to online learning, remote teaching, and asynchronous course developments. The course template was designed to help reduce stress load, encourage learning, and help you structure content into a great online learning experience for your students.
