In this module, you learned about the factors of production and how they are combined to influence the quality and quantity of agricultural products. It is possible to graphically and mathematically estimate how output changes as a result of changing inputs. This is important because it helps farmers and other producers to make better (more efficient) decisions that can help the sustainability of their businesses and the environment.
You should keep in mind that many agricultural practices are related and require scientific knowledge in addition to knowledge of the social sciences including management and business. In the next module, we will take production theory a step further to look at the economic and final effects of decision making with respect to production.
